Piret Kasak

Teacher

Introduction

As an aerobics instructor, she was initially drawn more to the physical aspects of yoga—such as good flexibility and a strong physique.

Piret explored various styles of yoga as a practitioner, yet she felt a certain restlessness within; her body and soul were searching for something else. This led to a period of reflection and the study of yoga-related literature.

In 2013, she discovered AcroYoga at a yoga festival and was immediately captivated. A year later, she decided to begin teaching classes.

This marked the start of Piret Kasak’s journey as a yoga instructor. She refrained from calling herself a “teacher” (or “yoga teacher”), feeling that she had not yet earned the title—especially since she did not fully grasp the implications of committing herself to teaching yoga.

In AcroYoga, the practice of yoga postures plays a significant role, as do presence and focus.

The first step had been taken; Piret felt as though she had turned a new page in her life. She had long been searching for a form of yoga that truly resonated with her, until she discovered the Estonian Yoga Association. She also notes how wonderful it is that one can study yoga in Estonia, in the Estonian language.

Piret is a member of the Estonian Yoga Association, a yoga instructor, and a yoga teacher certified by the EUY (European Union of Yoga). Completed training:
